Photovoice Exhibit

The centerpiece of MigrantVoices D.C. is Photovoice, a community-based participatory research method that invites project participants to share their experiences through photographs and personal narratives. The digital exhibit below includes Photovoice Submissions from our five protagonists, which are also included in lessons throughout the Migration Course.

Each protagonist was instructed to take three photos, each with a corresponding caption (sent either as a written text or a voice message) related to the following three topics: their migration journey, their community, and their hopes, goals, and dreams. While some submissions stick to these topics, others reveal other aspects of the migration experience that our protagonists found most important to share.
